November 2023

The Nepean Hospital Pharmacy is moving to Level 2 of Building D (the former operating theatres) as part of Stage 2 of the Nepean Redevelopment.

Pharmacy is relocating to a new site to better cater for the expansion and upgrade of services across the campus.

Operating hours to the pharmacy will remain the same (8.30am-5pm on weekdays and 8.30am-1pm on weekends).

The move will take place over two days from Tuesday 28 November to Wednesday 29 November. During this time, staff will NOT be able to access the old pharmacy. All inpatient and discharged medications will be delivered to the wards.

From Thursday 30 November the pharmacy will be officially open for business and staff will be able to access the new Pharmacy via the Level 2 linkway from Building D to Building A at the sign-posted doors.

The new location on Level 2 adjacent to the ICU, brings pharmacy closer to hospital services including the new tower (Building A) to better serve the needs of patients and staff.

New features of the pharmacy include floor space which is three time larger than the previous pharmacy, more ICT spaces, a large medication safe and a larger waiting area for outpatients.
