The second of the two tower cranes has arrived at the Nepean Redevelopment Stage 2 site as work ramps up on the new seven-storey building.

The second crane follows the installation of the first crane in June 2024.

Both will be responsible for handling construction materials, starting with manoeuvring steel and concrete elements around the site.

The second crane, which is about 100 metres tall, has arrived on site just days after the concrete ground slab was poured to help with the assembly of the building’s steel and concrete structure.

With two cranes now onsite, the concrete structure will start to gradually rise from the ground to the top floor.

The cranes are expected to stay onsite until the steel and concrete structure has reached the seventh level.

Seamlessly connecting to the new 14-storey hospital tower, the new Stage 2 building will deliver contemporary and expanded hospital services for the Penrith and Blue Mountains communities.
