Nepean Redevelopment has reached a major milestone with the second tower crane arriving onsite to support the construction of the new seven-storey building.
The installation of the tower crane comes days after the first concrete slab of the new Stage 2 building was poured.
The installation of the second crane aligns with the recent pouring of concrete for the ground and Level 1 slabs of the new Stage 2 building.
With two cranes now on site, we will start to see the building gradually rise from the ground to the top floor.
Adrian Timp, Senior Project Director, Health Infrastructure said, "This is the first of over 60 concrete pours to create eight floor slabs for the building, which will include a plant room on the rooftop."
Construction of a temporary loading dock at the northern end of Building D is almost complete and is expected to be handed over from the builders to the Local Health District in a couple of weeks.
Across the campus, the first concrete slab has been poured for the new Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Unit.
This is the first of three pours which will form the main structure for the double-storey unit.
