With the sunny weather, the builders are making good progress at the Stage 2 building site.
We are almost ready to pour concrete for Level 2 of the new Stage 2 building in the coming weeks. The pink cylinders (pictured left) are part of the formwork and act as moulds for concrete to be poured into to create structural columns. The concrete columns, which are more than 3m in height, will hold each of the levels of the new building.
The new Stage 2 building which includes a front of house, main entry and undercover drop-off zone will be accessed from Barber Avenue. Upgrade of new entry road works are underway.
Due to roadworks, the entrance to the P1 car park from Barber Avenue is temporarily closed. To access P1 please use the next entrance, which is further along Parker Street (Gate 2).
Structural framing works for the roof of the new Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Unit is well underway. Three cranes have arrived onsite to assist with materials delivery on Level 2 of the new two-storey unit. Works on the ensuites for the inpatient rooms have also commenced.
Thank you for your support and patience this year as we progress Stage 2 of the Nepean Redevelopment.
