The new Stage 2 building is steadily rising up from the ground with concrete structural works reaching to Level 4.
The jumpform, which is at the core of the new building and assists in the construction of the floors below, has jumped to Level 6. Civil works for a new waste management area for the campus are progressing.
Increased construction on campus means some noise and vibration can be expected due to the hospital’s close proximity to the site. To minimise the impact, regular noise, dust and vibration monitoring will occur.
There is still a lot of construction activity on Barber Avenue so please continue to pay close attention to traffic signs and allow extra time to get to your appointments while construction continues.
Construction is underway on a new purpose built Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Unit (CAMHS).
Works are progressing with the roof of the
the new unit now complete. External brickwork is well underway and internal wall frames and partitions are also continuing.
Bulk excavations works are also progressing at the site of the new Total Asset Management (TAM) building which is being built next to the new CAMHS unit.
The construction site will be operating at minimal capacity during the Easter and Anzac Day period.
Thank you for your support and patience as we progress Stage 2 of the Nepean Redevelopment.
