Welcome to the first edition of the construction update for 2025.
Construction on the new Stage 2 building at Nepean Hospital is off to a great start. The site reopened last week following a short Christmas break.
Work is continuing along Barber Avenue and the entrance to P1 car park from Barber Avenue is temporarily closed for the next couple of weeks. To access P1 please use the next entrance, which is further along Parker Street (Gate 2).
Please play close attention to traffic signs and allow a little extra time to get to your private and public hospital appointments while construction continues along Barber Ave.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway to pour the Level 1 concrete slab for the Stage 2 building in the coming weeks.
Steel framing, roofing and external cladding works are set to start at the new Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Unit following the completion of the concrete structure of the new two-storey building.
