Happy New Year! We are excited to be back for 2021, which already promises to be a big year for the Nepean Redevelopment.
From all of the Nepean Redevelopment project team, we wish everyone a safe and happy break over the holidays.
Now that our Stage 1 contractor, CPB has reached the highest point of construction, work can focus on the external façade and internal fit out of the 14 floors.
Nepean Hospital’s new 14-storey tower has officially reached its highest point of construction, with a topping out ceremony held this week to celebrate the occasion.
We’re close to finishing the concrete structure of the new tower with preparations underway for the final concrete scheduled to be poured soon for the new level 14 helipad, remaining staircases and lift areas.
We’re almost at the top of our new 14-storey hospital tower with only three more levels of concrete to be poured before the building tops out!
Construction on our new 14-storey hospital tower is making great progress with the first concrete pours underway for Level 10 which will be used for in-patient bedrooms.
A second round of local Aboriginal high school students have joined the Nepean Redevelopment Stage 1 construction team as part of the Diz Footprints program.
The first of six concrete pours have begun for level six of the new tower, where the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) will be located.

Construction of the 14-storey hospital tower is in full swing after the summer break, with the building’s footprint now revealing the unique shape of the tower.
2019 has been a big year for the Nepean Redevelopment! Aside from starting construction on the new 14-storey clinical tower, we saw the opening of new services at the Nepean Cancer Care Centre; a new purpose-built Community Dialysis Centre at Blue Mountains Hospital and a new $26 million multi-storey car park and rooftop helipad!
